Here’s hoping that you had a great holiday weekend. It was a quiet one in Yankeeland, though CC Sabathia’s one-year contract to stay in New York became official on Tuesday, so after talking about the 2018 implications for the Yankees last week, now it’s time to focus a bit on the continued growth of Sabathia’s place in team history.
Also on this show, the 2018 Yankees are going to hit a lot of home runs. But where are they going to hit them, does it matter, and how should it influence planning for further additions to the roster?
And, as you may have noticed, Gerrit Cole is not on the Yankees right now. What happened with a trade that was reportedly close, and what does “close” even mean? A friendly reminder that, although this trade rumor went well beyond social media, Twitter is not real life. Although, if you are on Twitter, a big shoutout to Jack Curry, because he’s a must-follow for anyone who wants Yankees news.
You should also be following @LockedOnYankees, and tweeting your mailbag questions there — or emailing them to [email protected] — because the next episode will be Mailbag Friday. So, stay tuned for that, and be sure to keep checking iTunes, Stitcher, or wherever else you get your podcasts, because this show will be popping up there soon. In the meantime, you can also use the RSS feed to sort of backdoor subscribe.
And, you know, stay tuned to this website, because there is going to be more content here than just posting the podcast episodes.
