So, to this point, this website has been almost exclusively posts when there are new episodes of the Locked On Yankees podcast. This is another one of those posts. See, here’s the embedded player…
…but this can and should be so much more. I will be writing more here, but as a freelancer, I wear a lot of hats, and, you know what, you don’t need my whole story here, and it’s talked about a little bit in the podcast anyway. Let’s just go right to the details.
Locked On Yankees needs more content, and it’s going to need a lot of it throughout the season. So, I’m putting out a call here: if you want to write about the Yankees here, I’d love for you to get in touch. Send an e-mail to [email protected] with a brief bio and two or three links to things you’ve written, as well as how often you’d like to write for this site. If you have podcasting experience, let me know that, too.
What does it pay? Here’s the thing: I don’t know. The model here is a share of the revenue generated by the site, much like the podcast is supported by ads, which is why I put out the call for advertisers to get in touch, every episode, because that’s also how I get paid in this operation. The good news is that more content from more voices should mean more readers, which would in turn mean more money, which means we’re all happy. Right? Right.
So, e-mail [email protected] and be part of this thing, and I promise that one way or another, you’ll hear back, because there’s nothing that annoys me more looking for jobs than sending resumes and clips out and never even knowing if I was considered.
